Kitchens and bathrooms get more out of a careful repaint than almost any other room in the house. You don't have to live with tired cabinets, dated tile-grout or stained walls until you can afford a full refit — a properly specified paint job buys you several more years of a space you actually enjoy being in, for a fraction of the budget.

These rooms also place very specific demands on a paint job. Steam, splashes, condensation and heavy cleaning will tear through ordinary emulsion in months. We specify moisture-resistant systems — typically a Dulux Trade or Crown Trade kitchen-and-bathroom range with mould-inhibiting properties — and apply them over properly primed surfaces, including tiled splashbacks where the client wants those repainted too.

Kitchen unit doors and frames we usually spray for a furniture-grade finish (see our spray painting service). Walls, ceilings and woodwork we brush and roll. The result, if it's done properly, looks like a room that was always finished this way — not like a room that's been painted over.
