Plasterboard & Plastering
Plasterboard & Plastering in London
Skimming, patching and full re-plasters that give you a flat, ready-to-paint surface every time.
Painting a wall that hasn't been properly prepared is like polishing a scratch — you can see every flaw, just shinier. So although we lead with painting, plastering and plasterboard work make up a steady part of what we actually do. The same team that paints your finished walls is the team that builds the substrate underneath them, which means the prep is done knowing exactly what the paintwork will eventually demand.
We handle the full range. New stud-wall partitions framed in metal or timber, insulated with mineral wool or acoustic batt where the brief calls for it, then boarded out in standard or moisture-resistant plasterboard. Skim coats over the boards, jointed and taped at the seams, finished in Thistle MultiFinish for a flat, paint-ready surface. Ceiling reinstatement and over-boarding of tired Artex finishes. Small patch repairs after a leak or after pulling out shelving. Full re-plasters where there's significant damage or movement. And the genuinely structural prep work that comes ahead of plastering on bigger refurbishments — demolition and removals, brickwork openings, lintel installation and basic structural framing.
Plaster needs time to cure, typically three to five days before it's ready to paint properly. We'll plan the job around that drying time so painting can follow directly behind without rushing the substrate. If you're under time pressure for a tenancy change-over, a completion date or a structural survey, tell us early and we'll be honest about what's actually achievable inside the timeline — and where moisture-resistant or fast-set products would buy back a day or two without compromising the finish.
